Description

A malt distillery in the Highland region of Scotland and part of the Scotch whisky holdings of Diageo. The current distillery was built in 1967 and despite its long associations to the Johnnie Walker blends, it has one of the oldest single malt brands as well.

Zesty citrus (mandarin, tangerine, lemon), honey, vanilla, floral notes, green apple, and a distinctive waxy character, often with a hint of smoke or brine.
Palate
Oily and waxy mouthfeel, with notes of orange, peach, vanilla, caramel, butterscotch, and a subtle brininess. Some spice (ginger, black pepper) and a light peaty or smoky undertone can also be present.
Finish
Medium to long, with lingering notes of vanilla, oak, citrus, and a dry, maritime quality, often with a touch of spice or a refreshing tingle.
