Description

This addition to the 2005 collection of Diageo Special Release bottlings was the first time a Convalmore single malt had been officially bottled with its own distinct branding. The only previous distillery bottling was within the Rare Malts Selection range in 2003. A malt distillery in Speyside that was the fourth of the famed "Seven Stills" of Dufftown. Primarily tasked with providing fillings for blended Scotch brands, it has rarely been seen in single malt form after being closed down by the Distillers Company in 1985.

Sweet perfume, glacé cherries, talcum powder, mixed fruits, blood oranges, redcurrants, bananas, vanilla, malt, butterscotch, stewed strawberries, peach, fruit tea, chocolate shavings.
Palate
Sweet, lightly spicy and dry, cedar-wood, perfumed notes, slight smokiness, toffee, tangerine peel, fruit-forward, strawberries, cherries, lemon, apricots, oak, worn leather, sherry, cigar leaves, cinnamon, sage, peaches, pineapple, tropical fruits like mango and papaya.
Finish
Medium length, perfumed, smoky-menthol aftertaste, long, spicy, sweet, warming, dry oak.
