Description

A small batch bottling of Craigellachie from the warehouses of the Thompson Bros. It was distilled in 2008 and was racked for maturation in sherry octave casks. The smaller size of the octaves means greater wood to liquid contact for intensified maturation, so a decade in octaves is quite a hibernation. This is a UK exclusive, limited to 181 bottles. Craigellachie is a distillery that has quietly garnered many devotees due to its signature robust and meaty spirit, which is partly a result of their use of wormtub condensers.

Palate
Haribo hearts, cinnamon doughnuts, raisins, black pepper, oily with walnut and cocoa, toffee, toasted malt, ginger, sweet and creamy, citric notes, light acidity, trace of smoke.
Finish
