Description
In one legendary expert Alfred Barnard noted that Craigellachie represented an old-fashioned whisky, 'a whisky that bites the tongue with zest.' We like to think as a compliment. Ever since, we have stubbornly maintained our traditional methods, including the use of worm tubs. We are one of the very few distilleries that still use worm tubs to cool the spirit. This gives our whisky its distinctive, oily, sulphury nature and helps to create this gutsy dram.
