Nose
Initial notes of leather, runny honey, camphor, and fat waxiness, followed by earthy notes, tobacco leaf, and slightly salty sherry, with water revealing wood sap, sultanas, crushed ivy, aniseed, and plum jam.
Palate
Wonderfully fat and meaty, with bacon jam, hot cross buns, salted liquorice, and pronounced leathery character.
Finish
Bold and rich with dessert wines, burnt caramel, pickled walnuts, and dark fruits soaking in Spanish brandy.
