Lady Of The Glen are an Edinburgh-based independent bottler that was founded by Gregor Hannah in 2012. His interest in whisky came at a young age when his father, who was a Scottish piper, used to receive bottles as gifts for performing at weddings and Burn's nights. Salted caramel with sweet malt and creamy oak makes for a rounded, dessert-leaning character. The warm spice keeps it from reading as simply sweet, and the lingering vanilla and toffee sound appealing.

The toasted, vanilla-leaning oak sounds like it could work well with the sweet malt and baked apple. Still, it seems quite prominent beside the softer fruit and pastry notes, so I’m not sure the balance would be for everyone.
