Description
Dalmore distillery was used as a deep-sea mine production centre by the Royal Navy between 1917 and 1920. After the navy departed, the distillery was left in tatters, and after a long compensation battle, involving the House of Lords, the distillery was brought back online. Now Dalmore presents itself as a luxury brand. The Dalmore distillery is located in Alness, Scotland, 20 miles north of Inverness, on the banks of the Cromarty Firth overlooking the Black Isle. It was established in 1839. This 12 Year Old 'The Black Isle' expression is a discontinued travel retail bottling, matured in 50% European oak and 50% American oak.
