Description
Released in 2022, this is Batch #2 of Filey Bay Peated Finish English single malt whisky from the Spirit of Yorkshire distillery. It was primarily matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, originally filled in 2018, before undergoing a secondary maturation in casks that previously held peated Scotch whisky. This process imparts subtle notes of peat smoke while maintaining the distillery's light and fruity house style. Bottled at 46% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and has natural color. The whisky is crafted in small quantities using 100% homegrown Laureate barley from the distillery's farm in Yorkshire, England.
