Description

One of the biggest names in Scotland's Speyside region, Glen Grant was founded in 1840. This particular bottling is a 1958 vintage, bottled in 1998 by independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail. Gordon & MacPhail has a long-standing relationship with Glen Grant, having been licensed bottlers since the 1960s and playing a key role in the distillery's success in the Italian market. Glen Grant's spirit is known for being well-suited to long aging.

Nose
Mossy, leafy notes, metal polish, mint, yellow apples, mango, pink grapefruit, leathery notes, library dust. Also, musty aromas, old wood, pencil ink, fresh spices, dried fruits, chocolate pralines and bitter almond.
Palate
Tobacco notes, menthol, leather, crystallized fruits, brioche with toasted/smoky notes, peppery notes, walnuts. Also, sweet liquorice, ginger, dry oak, spices, dried herbs, deep nutty flavours and chocolate pudding.
Finish
Medium, a tad drying. Very long, with a slightly bitter tingle like very dark chocolate.
