Description

Uniquely rich and elegant, the Glen Moray 25-Year-Old owes its rare character to deep expertise in maturing and marrying casks. This vintage limited edition was first laid down in 1994, to begin a long slumber in American oak casks, which brought deep oaky and vanilla notes. For its final chapter, the Master Distiller finished the whisky in select port casks, carefully sourced from Portugal, where the vintage grew in complexity, gaining layers of dark chocolate and full-bodied flavour. Embodying a quarter-century of Glen Moray heritage, this single malt is a jewel in the whisky's crown.

Intensely rich and elegant, with sweet candied aromas of tropical fruits, banana bread, tinned pineapple, candied ginger, toasted oak, dried red fruits, liquorice, and mint.
Palate
Marvellously rich and full-bodied, smooth with red grape skin, cinnamon, cranberry, sweet malt, vanilla pod, salted caramel, subtle oak, caramelised dried fruits, spiced oak, and a slight hint of peat smoke. Tawny Port pipes add depth of character with complex notes of fruit and warm spice.
Finish
Long and lingering, with chocolate ganache, white chocolate, cinnamon, dark chocolate melting into velvet vanilla spice, spiced oak, and toasted brown sugar.
