Description

A Speyside malt distillery that was originally built as a brewery in 1828 before converting to whisky production in 1897. It was an important part of the Macdonald & Muir portfolio in the 20th century, however as of 2008 has been owned by the La Martinquaise division of COFEPP in France. *

Nose
gardening gloves and new sneakers. Very rubbery. Hints of freshly printed newspaper. There's a peppery note underneath, as well as some sweet grapes and lemon candy.
Palate
starts on ground coffee beans, mixed with herbal notes (Ricola). Still these rubbery notes that are kinda difficult to filter out once you're focused on them. Hints of walnuts.
Finish
long, dry, nutty, with plenty of leafy notes.
