Description

The GlenAllachie 12 Year Old is the flagship expression of the GlenAllachie core range, launched in mid-2018 following Billy Walker's acquisition of the distillery in 2017. This Speyside single malt Scotch whisky is matured in a combination of Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks, along with virgin oak casks, and sometimes ex-bourbon and red wine barriques. It is bottled at 46% ABV, without chill filtration or added coloring, showcasing a rich and complex flavor profile. The 12 Year Old has received significant acclaim, including being crowned World's Best Single Malt at the World Whiskies Awards 2025.

Hints of dark chocolate, treacle, and heather honey, with cinnamon, espresso, and sticky raisins. Orchard fruits, toasted almonds, and subtle oak.
Palate
Marzipan and orchard fruit tones, followed by warming mocha, butterscotch, and grated nutmeg. Dark chocolate, caramel, apricot, malty, lemon zest, oily, starfruit, light oak, and cinnamon.
Finish
Medium length, with more ginger and clove spice. Leather, dark chocolate, white pepper, and apple cinnamon. Oily and slightly warm.
