Description

Considered among the finest of the Speyside malt distilleries and one of the few of its age to still be family-owned. J&G Grant became its sole shareholders in 1898 and continue to run it in a traditional manner, notably using direct-fired stills to create a rich, weighty spirit.

Light and smooth aromas of fruit, sherry and dark sweets like caramel and toffee intermingle with hints of vermouth and melon, with notes of cinnamon-sprinkled apples, oranges, apricots, and a hint of sappy oak.
Palate
Full-bodied with delightful sherried fruit, oak, and sweet sensations, with notes of banana, peach, apricot, red apple, date and walnut cake, toffee, and a hint of smoke.
Finish
A bit dry but fueled by fruit and sherry, peppered with spice, long and flavorsome with lingering notes of oranges and cinnamon.
