Description

Glenfiddich 15 Year Old Solera Vat is a world-renowned Speyside single malt Scotch whisky, matured for 15 years in a unique combination of European oak sherry casks, new oak, and traditional bourbon casks. The whisky is then married together in Glenfiddich's pioneering Solera Vat, a large oak tun inspired by the sherry bodegas of Spain and Portugal, which has never been fully emptied since 1998. This process creates exceptional depth, smoothness, and complexity, resulting in a balanced profile of honey, spice, fruit, and oak.

Nose
An intriguingly complex aroma. Sweet heather honey and vanilla fudge combined with rich dark fruits, sweet red fruits (strawberry, orange), hints of raisin and plum, pear, vanilla, and some sweeter baking spices.
Palate
Silky smooth, revealing layers of sherry oak, marzipan, cinnamon and ginger. Full-bodied and bursting with flavour. Sweet yet spicy and dry, with notes of orange, apples, vanilla, and a hint of cinnamon.
Finish
Satisfyingly rich with lingering sweetness, dried fruits, raisins, and oak. Medium to short, quite dry and a bit thin.
