Description

Independent bottler Kingsbury Wine & Spirits Co. was founded in Aberdeen in 1989 and incorporated in 1992 by Katsuhiko Tanaka, president of Japanese importer Japan Import System Co. Ltd. Initially much of the stock was sourced from the likes of Cadenhead (which had been acquired by J&A Mitchell in 1972) and Douglas Laing, however as independent bottling took off and the demand for high quality, ag ... Distilled in 1975 and aged for a remarkable 50 years, this exquisite Glenlossie single malt has been matured in a first-fill PX hogshead, imparting a profound depth to its character. The long maturation process has mellowed the spirit, allowing the rich, dark fruit notes typical of Pedro Ximénez sherry to integrate seamlessly with the distillery's elegant signature profile. Bottled at 45.6% ABV, this rare expression offers a complex and sophisticated tasting experience that reflects five decades of patient development in the heart of Scotland.
