Description

First released in 2008 and discontinued in 2012, this is the long-awaited return of Glenmorangie Astar (Scots Gaelic for journey), released in 2017 as a limited edition. The Astar's casks are hewn from hand-selected slow-grown oak trees from the Ozark Mountains of Missouri.

Palate
Smooth, creamy, and sweet with flavors of crème brûlée, tropical fruits (pineapple, apricot, pear), vanilla custard, hazelnuts, fudge, nutmeg, ginger, clove, and a hint of cooling mint.
Finish
Long and smooth with lingering notes of honey, almond, coconut, dry vanilla oak, apricot jam, egg custard, toasted brioche, and late clove spice.
