Description

Superb single malt from Glenrothes, distilled in 1986 and matured for over three decades. Independently bottled by Samaroli in 2022 for its Magnifico collection, it certainly is a stunner from the Speyside distillery.

Nose
The nose is monumental, the cornerstone of a temple that could celebrate the aroma of Speyside. Fresh fruit heading towards over-ripenening, lavender and spring shrubs.
Palate
The palate is salty, with hints of sulfur and a subtle fruitiness. It is intense and a little saline, estery, floral and slightly woody, pungent and alcoholic with impertinence.
Finish
Finish is very smooth and long.
