Description

Highland Park Dark Origins is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Orkney Islands, celebrating the distillery's founder Magnus Eunson's illicit distilling past in the late 1700s. This no-age-statement expression is non-chill filtered and bottled at 46.8% ABV. It is matured predominantly in first-fill sherry casks, with 80% first-fill (60% European oak and 20% American oak) and 20% refill sherry casks, resulting in a naturally darker, richer flavor. The malt is lightly peated to 20 ppm using local Orcadian peat.
