Description

The Irishman 12 Year Old is a distinguished single malt Irish whiskey, triple distilled from 100% Irish malted barley. It undergoes a minimum of 12 years of maturation exclusively in first-fill, flame-charred Bourbon casks. This annual limited edition release consists of approximately 6000 bottles, each individually numbered by batch. It is bottled at 43% ABV and is non-chill filtered.

Nose
Incredibly full aroma with sweet spicy notes of vanilla, cinnamon, and a hint of clove, balanced with apples, pears, charred wood, and freshly cut hay. Also notes of honeysuckle, toffee, and rye bread spices.
Palate
A delicious burst of rich summery flavors, sweet with vanilla and black peppercorns, giving way to succulent fruity mid-section with notes of toffee, sweet vanilla cream, peaches, cream, and a hint of cheesecake/mascarpone. Also roasted nuts, spiced walnut loaf, milky coffee, apricots, juicy peaches, boiled sweets, ripe citrus fruit, honey, and red apples.
Finish
Lingering succulent flavors of barley, oak, creamy dairy fudge, and a little dark chocolate. Smooth, sweet, and extremely moreish, with a lasting sweetness of caramel and a crackle of cassia.
