Description

Jameson 18 Year Old is a premium blended Irish whiskey, crafted from a unique blend of three triple-distilled distillates: pot still whiskey (from malted and unmalted barley) and fine grain whiskey. Each component is aged for a minimum of 18 years in hand-selected American bourbon and European oak casks. The whiskey then undergoes a final marrying period of at least six months in first-fill American oak barrels, adding depth, vanilla, and a gentle sweetness. This 40% ABV expression is known for its smooth and elegant flavor profile, revealing notes of vanilla, toffee, spice, wood, and leather. It is often presented in individually numbered bottles and has received numerous awards.

Wonderfully mellow and smooth, with a mouthful of complex flavours including toffee, spice, hints of wood and leather, gentle sherry nuttiness, vanilla, fudge, buttercream, apple, baking spices, cocoa powder, nutty notes, raisins, golden syrup, crisp green apple, nutmeg, cinnamon, ripe tropical fruits (pineapple, peach), and subtle oak.

Long and lingering, carrying the theme of wood, spice, and toffee, with notes of honey, ginger, oak spice, nuts, and a subtle dryness.
