Description
Established in 1780 by John Jameson, the sprawling Bow Street Distillery in the heart of Dublin was described as "a city within a city". Jameson Crested Ten is a blended Irish whiskey, first introduced in 1963 as the first official distillery bottling from Jameson. It is a blend of pot still and grain whiskeys, with a high proportion of pot-still whiskey (around 60%) and a significant percentage matured in sherry casks, alongside ex-bourbon barrels. The name 'Ten' historically referred to a 10-year age statement, but later bottlings, including this one, typically contained whiskey aged between 7 and 8 years.
