Johnnie Walker Blue Label Ghost and Rare 2nd Edition - Port Ellen is the second release in the Ghost and Rare series, a limited edition collection focusing on whiskies from 'ghost' distilleries. This blend features highly sought-after Islay single malt from the silent Port Ellen distillery, which closed in 1983. It also includes whiskies from other ghost distilleries like Caledonian and Carsebridge, alongside rare malts from Mortlach, Dailuaine, Cragganmore, Blair Athol, and Oban. Crafted by Master Blender Jim Beveridge, this expression is known for its complex and layered profile, balancing creamy vanilla sweetness, waxy citrus, rich malt, tropical fruit, and the distinctive maritime smokiness of Port Ellen. All whiskies used in this blend are at least 20 years old, with the youngest Port Ellen component being 34 years old. It was released in 2018 and is presented in a premium gift box.
