Nose
Notes of sweet confectionery, Turkish delight, pear drops, marzipan, subtle peat smoke like toasted marshmallows by a campfire, bold smoked meat, butter cookies, grilled fruits, milk chocolate, maritime, fruity, and funky with bourbon and sherry influences.
Palate
Initially fruity with citrus notes and orange peel, followed by vanilla, butterscotch, honeycomb, digestive biscuits, peat smoke, leather-bound books, peppery, spicy notes, sweet sticky toffee pudding, herbaceous peat, sweet vanilla malt, and rich fruit.
Finish
Velvet and smooth with lemon meringue, an oiliness and saltiness typical of a Campbeltown dram, peat smoke carrying through in campfire embers, sweet hints of pecan pie and butterscotch, maritime/salty, caramel, and dried and slightly fermented orchard fruit.
