The 10th batch of Kilkerran's Heavily Peated series, released in 2024, is a single malt Scotch whisky from Glengyle Distillery in Campbeltown. It was matured in a combination of 90% ex-bourbon and 10% ex-sherry casks and bottled at 57.8% ABV. This expression is non-chill filtered and has no added color, preserving its rich mouthfeel and flavors. It showcases a different side of the normally lightly peated Kilkerran range, offering a bold and robust taste with intense and unique heavily peated characteristics.

Palate
Lemon-lime soda, sweet cream, and buttery vanilla are balanced by strong fizzy peat and charcoal. Buttery croissant flavors, kiwi, pineapple, mango, coconut, citrus, honey, caramel, and charred oak.
Finish
Mineral and peat smoke linger, accented by bright notes of lemon, lime, creamy vanilla, and sea salt. Softer notes like melon and warm bread, with a buttery aftertaste. Long with more charred notes, fading peat smoke, black peppercorns, and honeyed fruit.
