Nose
Sweet crisp barley with black pepper, vanilla, citrus, and green apples. Hints of charred oak, cinnamon, pine, hay, and fertile soil. Notes of buttery toffee, orange peel, ripe pear, brown sugar, and honey. Faint acetone and light peat smoke are also present.
Palate
Tart and peppery with pine, candied ginger, and honey. Zesty and fruity with orange marmalade, creamy toffee, vanilla custard, cinnamon rolls, and nutmeg. Licorice, white pepper, currants, spice cake, Nutella, peppermint leaves, sage, and cashews. A delicious sweetness followed by a savory note.
Finish
Peppery with charred oak, anise, and cardamom. Lingering notes of Demerara sugar, honey, and liquorice. Medium-length, warming, and mildly numbing, with traces of peanut butter, grape jelly, and toffee. Sweet tobacco smoke and a bit ashy.
