Description

Established in 2009, Kingsbarns is one of Scotland's newer distilleries. Former golf caddie Douglas Clement initially tried to raise funds himself but the project was eventually bought out by Wemyss Distillery Ltd enabling the distillery, along with a visitor centre, to be opened in late 2014. This expression, the Kingsbarns 6 Year Old Founders' Reserve, was distilled at Kingsbarns, located in Fife and owned by the Wemyss family. It was matured in ex-bourbon barrels for six years and bottled as the fourth Founders' Reserve release. There were 3,000 bottles produced at cask strength and free from chill filtration.
