Classic Lagavulin smoke, soot, leathery dryness, Mon Cheri cherries, prune jam, brown sugar, honey-glazed almonds, cinnamon, fresh floral/herbal notes, coastal notes (seaweed, subtle iodine), sweet tobacco. Delicate and impressive depth.
Palate
Sweet and smooth entry with earthy peat, liquorice, Lapsang tea, smoked fish, spices (pepper), fatty notes, sherry, figs, chocolate, honey, dark sweetness (Turkish coffee). Extremely rich and balanced.
Finish
Very long, on ashes, chocolate, peat smoke. Drier, more oaky hint. Smooth, drying with peat and ash, spicy (cloves).
