Description

A revered single malt distillery in Campbeltown that has operated since 1828. It is today owned by J&A Mitchell & Co who produce three single malt styles there. These are its flagship two-and-half times distilled Springbank, a heavily-peated malt known as Longrow, and the triple-distilled Hazelburn. The peated single malt produced at Springbank distillery. Although very popular, Longrow remains an elusive whisky, with only 100-150 casks of it filled at the distillery each year.

Complex with sweet fruits, citrus, peaches, and orange zest, evolving into earthy peat, smoke, and maritime notes like seabreeze and iodine. Hints of honey, vanilla, and farmyard elements are also present.
Palate
Rich and well-balanced, featuring dark chocolate, creamy coffee, and gingerbread, alongside fruity notes of rhubarb, vanilla custard, peach, and apple. A prominent peaty and oily character with subtle smokiness, spices, and a touch of saltiness.
Finish
Long and sweet, with lingering peat smoke, dark chocolate, dried fruits, and a warm, spicy, and earthy character. Notes of coffee beans and sea salt emerge.
