This Macallan was distilled on the 13th of October 2008 and bottled 12 years later in 2021. It is one of only 332 bottles titled 'A Party In Your Mouth'. Matured initially in Ex-Oloroso Sherry Butts it was later transferred into a 1st fill Hogshead.

Strong alcohol, alcoholic wood-treatment, wood-polish, maple syrup, caramel toffee.
Palate
Chestnuts, old wood... water opens it up a little bit, grapefruits and orange zest are appearing, but dry and bitter notes are also getting more present.
Finish
Warm, spicy, short and peppery, bitter notes in the end. The finish reminds me of a too strong black tea.
