Description

Released in 2016, this is the sixth and final decanter in a highly limited, exclusive Macallan collaboration with crystal makers, Lalique. The series is called The Six Pillars collection, and saw six decanters released over an eleven year period, each celebrating one of the six facets that Macallan believe set them apart from Scotland's other distilleries. The Macallan Six Pillars are: Exceptional Oak Casks, Spiritual Home, Curiously Small Stills, Finest Cut, Natural Colour and Peerless Spirit. This decanter champions the 'Peerless Spirit' pillar.

Supremely balanced with honey-dipped Madagascan vanilla pods, cinnamon, Moroccan dates, antique oak, rich dried fruits, treacle, polished leather, nutmeg, orange oil, and dark chocolate.
Palate
Medium body with cracked black pepper, cloves, toasted cocoa beans, stewed figs, black cherry, plum pudding, sandalwood, and subtle pipe tobacco. Velvety mouthfeel.
Finish
Very long and deeply satisfying with rich honey and dark chocolate, lingering sherry richness, oak spice, dried fruit, cocoa, citrus zest, and a soft, smoky warmth.
