Description

Midleton Dair Ghaelach Kylebeg Wood Tree No. 3 is a premium Irish Single Pot Still whiskey, part of the Dair Ghaelach series, which focuses on maturation in native Irish oak. This particular release, Tree No. 3, is finished in virgin Irish oak casks sourced from Kylebeg Wood on the Ballykilcavan Estate in County Laois. The whiskey is a blend of 15 to 28-year-old Single Pot Still whiskeys, initially matured in American oak barrels, and then finished for approximately two years in the virgin Irish oak hogsheads. This process imparts a unique character, balancing the classic rich and spicy Single Pot Still profile with the distinct flavors of the indigenous Irish oak. Each bottle is individually numbered and presented in a wooden case, making it a limited edition and a collector's item.
