Description

Nikka Super Rare Old is a legendary Japanese blended whisky, first launched in 1962 by Masataka Taketsuru as a personal tribute to his wife, Rita. It combines meticulously selected malt whiskies from Nikka's Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries, along with grain whiskies, to achieve a harmonious and smooth flavor profile. The whisky is bottled at 43% ABV and is known for its distinctive bottle shape, designed to evoke a whisky pot still. It has received accolades such as the World Whiskies Awards Best Japanese Blended (No Age Statement) in 2018 and an ISC Gold Medal in 2008.
