Description
In Louisville, Kentucky in 1870, George Garvin Brown filled and sealed a glass bottle of bourbon for the first time striving for consistency and quality in all future bottlings. He named that spirit Old Forester after Dr. William Forrester who worked as a pharmaceutical salesman: the second 'r' was dropped from the surname when he retired. During Prohibition, the company now known as Brown-Forman produced this bourbon. Old Forester Statesman was originally released in July 2017 as a companion to the movie, “Kingsman: The Golden Circle.” This release is made from the standard Old Forester mash bill of 72% corn, 18% rye, and 10% malted barley and is comprised of hand-selected casks from the warmest places in the warehouse.
