Description

A Welsh whisky distillery that revived the nation's distilling heritage when it first opened in 2000, the first in Wales for over a hundred years. It was commissioned by The Welsh Whisky Company and makes use of a unique and specially designed Faraday still to produce its whisky. This is a limited edition bottling to celebrate the 125th Anniversary of the Welsh Rugby Union.

Nose
Fragrant and aromatic, with a rich, sumptuous feel. Sweet with sugary caramel prominent, along with dried fruits (raisins, sultanas, apple), candied orange peel and a whiff of woody spices (cinnamon and nutmeg).
Palate
Sweetness and richness are prominent, less like caramel and more like crumbly brown sugar. Dried fruits (raisins, sultanas), distinctive candied orange peel, green fruitiness reminiscent of stewed apples, and warm cinnamon/nutmeg spices.
Finish
Long, warming and enjoyable with the sugary fruitiness fading slowly.
