The cult distillery Port Ellen shut down in 1983, and has only grown in popularity since then. As the stocks are drying up, bottlings of Port Ellen single malt are becoming rarer and rarer and older vintages are especially hard to find these days. Port Ellen 23 Years Old Hart Brothers Finest Collection 1975 is one of these rare earlier vintages, released by renowned independent bottlers Hart Brothers as part of the Finest Collection. The whisky was distilled in 1975 and matured for 23 years, before being bottled in 1998 at 43%.
