Nose
Aromas of delicate floral notes, fresh fruits like apples and pears, citrus zest, and a hint of lemon and floral honey. There are also subtle notes of biscuits, cookie dough, heather, mint tea, and a whisper of smoke and minerality.
Palate
Rich and fresh, with honey, vanilla, and a medley of fruits. Initial notes of peat and wood smoke are followed by sweetness and spice. Flavors of Limoncello, lemon peel, sugared peels, dried fruits, pink grapefruit, and mandarin are present, along with menthol, charred oak, and subtle pineapple.
Finish
Long and satisfying, with lingering notes of oak, gentle sweetness, and tangy citrus zest. Chalk, menthol, and yellow fruit also appear.

The fresh apple, pear and citrus sound bright, while honey and vanilla bring a softer side. I like the gentle push and pull between sweetness, spice and the whisper of smoke; it feels lively without leaning on one note.

Rosebank’s 22-year-old Lowland single malt is identified with ex-bourbon and refill sherry casks. The character described here brings fresh apple, pear and citrus against honey and vanilla, while the palate’s initial peat and wood smoke give way to sweetness and spice. That shift makes the fruit and citrus feel more layered than simply bright. The long finish, with oak and tangy citrus zest, sounds like a fitting close. A thoughtfully balanced direction, with enough detail to hold my interest.
