Description

This special bottling of the Royal Lochnagar 12-year-old was produced in 1995 to commemorate the visit of King Charles III (at the time HRH The Prince of Wales) on the occasion of the distillery's 150th anniversary. A Highland malt distillery founded in 1845 by John Begg. It neighbours the Balmoral Estate and a visit by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1848 saw it bestowed with a Royal Warrant.

Palate
Smooth and sweet with cereal, caramel, and gentle spice. Honeyed sweetness gives way to light oak spice, ginger, and dried fruit notes like raisin and plum.
Finish
Medium and delicately drying, leaving sweet malt and a hint of wood spice. Lingering sandalwood, grass, and honey with notes of vanilla, maple, orange, and banana.
