Shenk's Homestead Kentucky Sour Mash Whiskey is a limited-release, full-bodied spirit from Michter's Distillery, part of their Legacy Series, honoring historic American whiskey figure John Shenk. This 2023 release is known for its unique use of malted rye in the recipe and maturation in a blend of special oak barrel types, including 18-month naturally air-dried and seasoned wood with a signature toast and char profile, and specially toasted French oak barrels from the Vosges region of France.
