Description
Shenk's Homestead Kentucky Sour Mash Whiskey is an annual limited-edition release from Michter's Distillery, honoring the legacy of American whiskey figure John Shenk, who founded a distillery in 1753. This full-bodied small batch whiskey is produced in Louisville, Kentucky, using a traditional sour mash process and a mash bill with a substantial amount of rye, including malted rye and caramel malt. It is aged in a combination of new charred American oak barrels and finished in toasted French oak barrels sourced from the Vosges region of France.
