Description

This Springbank 2003 13 Year Old was specially bottled for Cadenhead's Whisky Shop Aberdeen as part of a series celebrating Cadenhead's 175th anniversary. Cadenhead's, founded in 1842, is Scotland's oldest independent bottler and was originally based in Aberdeen before moving to Campbeltown. This particular bottling was selected for the Aberdeen shop.

Fruity notes of baked apples, oranges, berries, plums, cranberries, sherry, port wine, raisins, figs, and a hint of peat. Also diesel oil, honey, dried fruits, and green apples.
Palate
Vinous and exotic with raspberry, grapefruit, crème de cassis, plums, candied oranges, raisins, figs, caramel, cinnamon, licorice, leather, and moist soil. Thick mouthfeel, sherry influence, honey, caramel, and a hint of peat.
Finish
Medium long, soft and elegant with exotic fruits, raisins, dates, salt water, lemonade, little peat, and oak. Long finish with honey and white pepper.
