Description

A revered single malt distillery in Campbeltown that has operated since 1828, Springbank is unique for malting, distilling, bottling, and maturing its whisky on the same site. This 12 Year Old 'Green Thistle' bottling, released in the 1990s, is a classic example of Springbank's traditional approach. It is non-chill filtered and free of artificial coloring. This particular release is rumored to contain older liquid than typical 12-year-old Springbanks, a result of excess stock after the whisky bust of the 1980s.
