Description

This Longrow 2001 Rundlets & Kilderkins is an 11-year-old heavily peated single malt whisky from Springbank Distillery, distilled in November 2001 and bottled in January 2013. It is the second release in Springbank's Rundlets & Kilderkins series, matured in small oak casks (60 and 80-litre kilderkins and rundlets) which were historically used for whisky sales directly to local gentry. This method allows for greater wood contact, resulting in an increased spiciness in the finished spirit. It was released as a limited edition of 9000 bottles and is non-chill filtered with no added colouring.

Palate
