Description

This Springbank 1990 12 Years Old Sherry Wood is a rare Campbeltown single malt from Springbank Distillery, released as part of the highly collectible Wood Expressions series. Distilled in 1990 and bottled in June 2003, this 12 year old expression was matured in sherry butt wood and bottled at 52.4% ABV. This release shows a darker and more concentrated side of Springbank, with the sherry butt maturation bringing dried fruit, spice, treacle, dark chocolate and rich oak, while the distillery's classic Campbeltown character adds oily texture, gentle peat smoke, malt and coastal salinity. With only 1,799 bottles released, this is a serious collector's Springbank.
