Description
A former malt distillery that was based in the town of Linlithgow. None of its single malt was ever officially bottled during its years in operation and it was primarily tasked with providing fillings for Distillers Company blends. It was closed down in 1983 and since redeveloped into housing. A historic selection of single malt whiskies from operational and lost distilleries that were released by United Distillers and then Diageo between 1995 and 2005. This is a tremendously old school, aromatic and viscous whisky, a glorious mix of light peats, herbs, oils, fruit notes, metallic aspects, wax, honey, hessian, dunnage, citrus and minerals, almost akin to a cask strength Riesling.
