The 39-year age statement and American hogshead make this an intriguing prospect, but neither tells me whether sweetness is balanced by other flavours. Without verified tasting detail, I can’t judge that part of its character. Interesting on paper, but I’d stay cautious.
An appealing Lowland single malt.
