Nose
Fruity and elegant with sherry notes of baked apple, raisins, prune jam, rummy notes of green banana and Piña Colada, juicy oranges, hints of mint, smoke, and silky polished oak. Also notes of maple syrup, candied fruit, plum, roasted nuts, polished leather, damp earth, coffee bean, cinnamon, and teasing kiln smoke.
Palate
Smooth, oily, and gently sherried with dried fruit, raisins, brown sugar sweetness, and traces of oak. Notes of cooked golden and dark raisins, dark chocolate, aged leather, chili spice, soft banana, orange peel, and a hint of salt. Some reviews note a woody or slightly acrid sappy taste.
Finish
Pretty long with oak spices, leather, dried fruits, and a peppery character. Some notes of rich coffee and dark chocolate.
