Description
After establishing one of the World's leading whisky bars in Dornoch, Phil and Simon Thompson - better known as the Thompson Brothers - decided to take it a step further and start making their own whisky and gin on the site at the Dornoch Castle Hotel. Born from successful crowdfunding and a worldwide love of whisky, Dornoch's first whisky distillery was formed. While waiting for the whisky to mature, they also became renowned independent bottlers, selecting casks from various Scottish distilleries and bottling them under their own label. This Blended Scotch 5 Year Old was distilled in 2016 and matured in a combination of refill and first-fill sherry hogsheads before being bottled in March 2022 at 46% ABV. A release of 621 bottles.
