Description

Part of Distell's Limited Release Malt Whisky Collection 2019, this 19-year-old Tobermory vintage was distilled in 1999 and initially matured in refill hogsheads before being finished for two years in Marsala casks. It was eventually bottled at 19 years old with a limited outturn of 1,134 bottles at a natural cask strength of 55.7% ABV, free from chill filtration and artificial colouring.

Nose
Caramelised coffee beans, with a touch of dark orange chocolate, orange blossom, maple syrup and buttery pear tart. Sweet orange and raspberry with milk chocolate and marzipan. Figs, dried apricots and fudge, complemented by subtle nuances of eucalyptus and Oloroso sherry.
Palate
Silky golden syrup, with fresh toast and orange marmalade alongside slightly burnt toffee. Cinnamon and poached pear with strawberry jam and cocoa powder. Soft, rounded, with notes of apricot cake, pralines, chocolate, spices and vanilla, with light salty nuances.
Finish
Vanilla fudge and candied orange citrus on a lengthy, cinnamon-spiced finish. Long and dry with notes of chocolate coated coffee beans. Heady finish with notes of nuts and spices.
