Nose
Intensely rich, with thick syrup sweetness, molasses, and cereal notes. Burnt raisin and toasted dried fruits add depth, while a light but definite smoke threads through the profile. Bright maritime peat layered with dark fruit sweetness from the PX cask, with notes of lemon zest, smoked barley, dried figs and warm oak, lifted by subtle vanilla and sea spray.
Palate
Concentrated flavours of burnt raisin and caramelised sugar, balanced by a savoury edge and briny undertones. The PX cask delivers richness without overwhelming the distillery's smoky core. Intensely full-bodied at cask strength, with waves of coastal smoke, grilled citrus, raisins and chocolate-dipped dates. A rich interplay of salted caramel, malty sweetness and earthy peat builds alongside warm spice and toasted oak.
Finish
The smoke stays present, steadying the sweetness from start to finish. Long, smoky and indulgent, with lingering notes of smouldering driftwood, sherry richness, peppered oak and citrus oil, creating a powerful yet refined coastal finish.
