Nose
A delightfully complex spicy and perfumed nose. Waxy fruits, oranges, red apples, apricots and sweet tinned peaches and tangerines wrapped in wax paper. Background notes of an old leather book cover, pickled ginger, a hint of menthol, chewing gum base rubberiness, and a whiff of makeup powder.
Palate
A much greater presence of peat than the nose suggests, with smokiness quickly hitting the palate and then tapering off. Well-rounded and soft, with fruits (mango and papaya), honey, dusty leather, orange oil, orange blossom, sweet herbal cough syrup, sooty newspaper ink, pickled ginger, and oak.
Finish
Long and dry with gentle warm spice. Mellow with fruits, honey, and beeswax, followed by a hint of spices, wax, oak, and yeast.
